Shaun Glasgow
Certified Athletic Trainer
Shaun Glasgow is the
Certified Athletic Trainer for White House High School.
Glasgow, 29, has
a B.A. in Physical Education and Athletic Training from Cumberland University in Lebanon and recently completed his Masters
of Arts in Education at Cumberland this summer. He also has an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Volunteer State Community
College, where he became a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
He became a certified personal trainer through
the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT) and is currently pursuing his Strength and Conditioning Specialist
certification through the NSCA-CSCS with a goal to be completed at the end of the year. Shaun has completed his requirements
for teaching and is pursuing his teaching licensure, and hopes to be teaching in the next couple of years while maintaining
his training responsibilities.
This is his second year as the Certified Athletic Trainer for White House and he
has completed the ATC at Cumberland University with a state license (LAT) in Athletic Training. While in college, he covered
football, men's soccer, softball, volleyball, and women's basketball while providing assistance in other sports as
needed.
His duties at White House include the assessment and treatment of injuries, the development of rehabilitation
programs for injured athletes, the development of preventative strength and conditioning programs for athletes, along with
providing basic first aid care, maintaining records and assessments in regards to athletic care, and maintaining an open line
of communication between coaches, administration, athletes, parents, doctors and other members of the sports medicine team.
